Monday Action: Raise Your Voice Against Poverty

See also the Monday Action page.

As I finally get back to writing (yes I know this is 2 days late), I’m reminded that its just weeks until the G8 cabal get together to enjoy sun, sea and the camaraderie that goes with being part of the global super elite.  Yes, its time to start thinking about how we might respond to the challenge of ensuring that the worlds poor stay on the agenda.

While its about the weakest attempt at a national protest I’ve seen in a while, there is, nonetheless, something happening in London on June 2nd.  It may seem like a very ineffective thing to do, but its still important people get involved, and use the opportunity to say loudly and clearly that its time to Make Empty Promises History, and with that, Poverty itself.  Do click by the Your Voice Against Poverty website, send a message to Merkel and see if you can make the events in London that day.

(Greg’s resolve finally cracks, and…) Sorry to be rude, Graham, but are you ever going to learn to use apostrophes?
